Deploy your apps to servers you control.

Dekota builds and runs your apps, databases and services on your own servers or on ours. Connect a repository and push. The new version goes live on your domain with HTTPS, and the previous build is kept so you can roll back.

Dekota is not open to the public yet. Self-hosting will be free and open source once the source is released, and the hosted plans are in preparation.

What you can run

Apps from git
Node, Python, Go, PHP, Ruby, Rust, Java, static sites and anything with a Dockerfile. Each push builds and deploys.
Docker images and Compose
Run an image from any registry, or a whole docker-compose.yml stack with its networks and volumes.
Databases
PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, KeyDB, Dragonfly and ClickHouse, with scheduled backups to S3 storage.
Ready-made services
Plausible, Ghost, n8n, MinIO, Uptime Kuma and many more, set up with storage and a domain in one click.

From push to live

  1. Add a server

Any Linux machine you can reach over SSH: a VPS, a dedicated box or a computer in your office. Dekota installs Docker and its proxy for you.

  2. Connect your code

Pick a repository on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Gitea. Dekota detects how to build it, or uses your Dockerfile.

  3. Push

Every push to your branch builds a new version and swaps it in once its health check passes. Pull requests can get their own preview address.

Who uses Dekota

Developers with side projects and products

Run everything on one affordable server instead of paying per app on a hosted platform. Add a second server when you need it.

Agencies and freelancers

Host each client in their own project, with their own domains, backups and team access. Hand over a project when the work is done.

Companies building an internal platform

Give your developers one place to deploy, with roles, a history of every deployment and updates you approve before they reach production.

Updates you control

The console does not update itself, and it has no Update button to press by mistake. On the consoles we run, an update is a command on the server: it backs up the console, builds the new version from pinned sources, swaps it in, checks it and goes back to the previous version on its own if a check fails. We plan to ship the same commands with the Community release.

  • Settings › Updates only shows the running version
  • A backup of the console before every update
  • Automatic return to the previous version if a check fails

How updates and rollback work

Run it yourself

The Community edition will be free and open source, with no limit on servers, apps or team members. You install it on your own machine and keep full control of your code and data. The source release is in preparation.

Self-hosting details

Or let us host it

With Dekota Cloud we run the console and you connect your servers. With Dekota Managed we run the servers too. Both are in preparation, and you can join the list now.
